Personalized Photo Calendar
Semi-custom photo calendar from Artifact Uprising
As a photographer, I have so many photos of my family that sort of just pile up over the years.
Last year, I started seeing the same ads pop up on my instagram from Artifact Uprising. I decided to give it a try recently when thinking of birthday gifts for my mom and brother.
As you know, if I can’t hand-make a gift from scratch, I love a semi-custom option. These personalized photo calendars from Artifact Uprising proved to be the perfect way to use my photos to create a one-of-a-kind gift. They come with a stand or a magnet, so they sit nicely on a counter or attached to the fridge.
And, in case you’re wondering, “why would I buy a calendar in the middle of the year” the calendars start the month you purchase them, so no need to worry.
They also seem to have really great options for photo albums and other personalized gifts with a high-level of design (as compared to websites like Zazzle or Shutterfly).
putting it together
I prefer to have my order shipped to me. Then I can personalize it even further with the wrapping and note. For these, i wanted something very minimal. I found perfectly sized boxes in kraft and black at Michaels and rested the unwrapped calendars on a bed of high-quality crinkle paper. I nested in a note on blank matching stationery from Paper Source’s Paper Bar and added some ink+ash branding with my wax seal or embosser.
Finally, wrapped everything up with some suede cord and (of course) my signature hang tags. For the calligraphy, I used Ziller’s Tranquil Taupe ink and my Kantel 920 vintage nib.
