A Gift from the Grooms
Jim + Adriano’s Wedding Favors
Jim and Adriano had a one-of-a-kind bead bracelet designed as a gift for their wedding guests. They wanted to place it on small card and reached out for a design as unique as their special favors.
a custom portrait
I created a custom watercolor portrait of the couple that the bracelet could encircle.
The couple was painted in the likeness of what they would be wearing at the ceremony—navy tuxedos and coordinating bow ties in their wedding colors.
circle of love
Inspired by the way the bracelet would encircle the portrait of Jim and Adriano, I wanted to bring a bit more meaning to the gift with a special message on the back:
“Our family is a circle of strength and love. With every union it grows. We are so grateful you are a part of our circle.”
finishing touches
Probably my favorite part of my process is packaging everything up for delivery to the client. In addition to the cards, I wanted to gift them the original watercolor painting as a keepsake.
I often use archival photo boxes for delivering custom work, and found the perfect size box that could fit the framed 11x14 artwork and had the right amount of space on the side for the cards. I bundled them in sets with string that matched their navy and blue palette.
Can’t wait to see pictures from their special day!
